WORLD ENDANGERED SPECIES DAY 2022

Hello friends, 

Have you ever heard of the word ENDANGERED before?

What does it mean?? 

IN DANGER🚨 ie., Animals in Danger of Extension.

And we celebrate, NATIONAL ENDANGERED SPECIES DAY, every year on the 3rd Friday of May. 

what's the need to celebrate National Endangered Species Day?

Plants and Animals together help to have a Healthy Ecosystem but when they become endangered 😕 'IT'S A SIGN OF IMBALANCE IN THE ECOSYSTEM'

As of now, there are 41,415 species on International Union for Conservation of Nature(IUCN)Red list.😢

Out of them 16,306 are endangered species are threatened with extension☹️

Okay!!😶For that?? Why do you say that to me?

Generally, we think like this 'What can I do for that?? I'm a normal citizen like anyone 🤷 only the  Government has to take some actions to save those endangered species'. 

Yeah!! It's true government has to take certain steps to save them and of course they are taking actions too. 

At the same time, Have you ever thought this way👇😂😏

From whom should the government save these endangered species???????? 

we are the one's😧Humans. Apart from natural calamities, the only threat for them is WE HUMANS as hunters and trappers.

1. Javan Rhinoceros

ATLEAST On this day, LET'S EDUCATE OURSELVES 🤗 ABOUT ANIMALS  particularly ENDANGERED SPECIES 🐼🐺🐯🦈🐝🐾

✓Let's take this day as an opportunity to know the importance of protecting endangered species.

✓Let's make this day as a chance to spread awareness among people on Wildlife Habitats.

Theme for the year 2022: "Recovering Key Species for Ecosystem Restoration"

Do you know something? as per IUCN, Habitat Destruction is the main threat (85%) of all threatened and endangered species. 

Let's ACT NOW!!🤠

HELP THEM WITH POSSIBLE MEASURES!!

✓We can help reduce this threat by planting Native Trees.

✓We can try to restore our wetlands or by cleaning up beaches/water bodies in our area.

✓Let's first try to educate our friends and families on living sustainable with other species.
