My Journey as a BEE🐝KEEPER – From Curiosity to Natural Honey Production

Hello All!! Hope you all are doing well 😊and today I have something very excited 😆 to share with you!! Beekeeping is more than just collecting honey it’s about supporting nature, improving crop pollination and enjoying the pure sweetness that bees create. I recently started my own beekeeping journey, and through this blog, I want to share the experiences, challenges, and joys of becoming a beekeeper. 

About 5 years back I had a dream or I was little curious about doing 🐝 Bee Keeping. Though I was curious, I couldn't get a chance or situation to explore 🐝 Bee Keeping. Years passed and one day I came to know that Josephine Ma'am is coming to Tiruvannamalai for one day workshop on Bee Keeping 🥰🥳 let me give a short intro for her! She is the number one Bee Keeper in Tamil Nadu and a great inspiration for me to explore and learn more about theses angels 🐝 she use to call them as தேவதைகள் 🐝

Finally!! I enjoyed a lot learning more about Bee Keeping as I attended hands on training with Josephine Ma'am.

Later once I'm back home searched for nearby bee farm and that's how I found Aravind Natural Bee Farm, Anganathavalasai, Tirupattur.  I purchased by very first bee box from them and  this is how I started my journey as a Bee🐝Keeper.😎😌

🌼 Why I Started Beekeeping

For a long time, I was fascinated by honey bees. They are small, but their role in agriculture is massive. We have launched  our  brand in this beekeeping journey called  GIFTA HONEY with the slogan “Hive to Home.” Our goal is to provide 100% natural honey, raw and unprocessed, directly from our Honey Bees.

🍯 Setting Up My First Bee Hive

Starting out as a beginner in beekeeping was both exciting and challenging. Choosing the right location, setting up the hive and watching thousands of bees work together was magical. Each bee plays a role:

• The queen bee lays eggs,

• The worker bees collect nectar,

• The drone bees support reproduction.

Together, they produce natural, farm-fresh honey - a true gift from nature.

🌍 Beyond Honey – The Power of Pollination

Beekeeping isn’t only about producing honey. Every time bees visit flowers, they improve pollination, which increases crop yield and supports biodiversity. As a farmer, this means healthier plants and a better harvest, proving why bees are called the “farmers’ best friends.”

This is just the beginning of my beekeeping blog. I’ll be sharing updates about hive management, honey harvest techniques, challenges faced by new beekeepers and yes! most importantly the benefits of raw honey.  Stay tuned for my upcoming post about my first honey extraction—a truly sweet milestone! 🍯✨
