Hey Friends,
Growing Bottle Gourds is such a wonderful experience😃and yeah bottle gourds🍐 are extremely beneficial for one's health. It is a climber Plant.

Sowing stage:
Bottle Gourds can be easily grown through seeds. Healthy Seeds of these gourds takes 5-7 days to sprout and germinate🌱
We can sow these gourd seeds either directly in the ground or can be sowed in seed beds(later transferred into growing bed/ground)
Tips: Before sowing the seeds, check it out whether it's a healthy seed without any crack/damage in it.

Growing stage:
For the first 30-40 days, these creepers should get enough nutrition and regular watering is mandatory. Only then we can atleast expect for some decent harvest.😜
This stage is very important for us👩‍🌾 especially for gardeners who have no space(direct soil)😒 Growing creepers in pots/growbags need special attention during this growing stage.

Blooming Stage:
Bottle gourds are unisexual they have both Male and Female Flowers. These white🌼flowers blooms during night and they drop of during mid morning/after pollination. We can easily identify or differentiate male from female flowers, where the female flowers will have a small gourd shape below the bloom.😃
     - Female Flower

    - Male Flower

The main vine produce only male flowers, we get female flowers in the side vine or
in 3rd generation/4th generation vines. Generally, pollination takes place naturally by bees🐝,since we humans😔😒are very harmful to all other creatures in this earth, bee's population has reduced a lot. Only way for us 👩‍🌾is to do hand pollination.

Harvest Stage:
Once the pollination is done properly, within one or two days 😍😌baby bottle gourds🍐slowly gets its shape. We can see the baby gourd slowly gets into matured one. Once the gourd is matured enough, it's time to harvest🤩our home grown🍐 bottle gourds😋
yeah, harvesting any veggies or spinach 🥦that grows in front of our own eyes, gives us 👩‍🌾 great joy. Yet, one can only feel it😃💚if and only if she/he does it in their own space.
#Happy Gardening🍀🍂
