Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well 💛
Today, I’m truly happy and excited as we continue our journey with Book Series – Part 10: Winning Balance by Shawn Johnson.
I’ve always had a dream of sharing my thoughts on books😎not just as reviews, but as a way of expressing the emotions and reflections they create within me. For many years, I couldn’t begin this journey. But today, here we are😍sharing the 10th book in this series. That itself fills my heart with so much gratitude and joy.
What excites me even more is not just reading these books, but growing along with them. Each one has shaped me in a different way, and this journey has slowly become something very meaningful to me.
So, without any further delay, let us step into today’s episode of our book series😀
Part 10: Winning Balance by Shawn Johnson.
Like every book in this series, I didn’t just read Winning Balance💟I truly experienced it.
You may not believe it, but as I went through one chapter each day, I found it incredibly relatable. I could see reflections of my own life in the author’s journey, in her struggles, and in the lessons she shared.
There were many days when I felt emotionally overwhelmed. At times, I was deeply inspired by her courage and strength. And most importantly, almost every chapter gave me a renewed sense of strength and comfort—something that felt like quiet spiritual guidance through her words.
Being someone who has always loved sports during my school and college days, I felt an even deeper connection. Knowing that the author herself is an Olympic gold medalist made it all the more powerful. Her discipline, resilience, and mindset felt very real and close to my own experiences.
This book didn’t just motivate me💜it empowered me, little by little, every single day.
The author, Shawn Johnson, beautifully shares what she has learned about love, faith, and living our dreams—not just through success, but through real-life experiences.
What makes this book even more special is that, in many chapters, she includes her own poems and prayers, written from her personal journey. That touched me deeply. It felt so real, so honest—like reading someone’s heart.
She begins with a powerful verse:
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
That one line itself sets the tone for the entire book.
This book is her way of reflecting on the lessons she has learned over nearly two decades—through intense training, competitions, victories, struggles, and most importantly, everyday life. It is not just about being an Olympic gold medalist; it is about being human, growing, and learning along the way.
This book has 34 chapters, and it took me a full month March 2026😎to complete it. But honestly, it never felt like a task. I truly enjoyed every moment of it. In fact, I found myself waiting for my reading time each day, because every chapter felt so connected, so joyful, and so personal to explore.
If we could meet in person, I’m sure I would go on and on, sharing every little detail of how this book made me feel. There were so many “magical moments” within these pages that are hard to fully express in words. But let me try to give you a glimpse.
What makes this book very special is the way each chapter begins—with a quote or a personal reflection—and ends with lessons learned. That structure made the reading experience feel very personal, almost like having a conversation that guides and strengthens you.
The book is beautifully divided into four parts:
Part 1: Finding Fire 🔥
“Find the fire deep inside.Watch it burn and stay alive.Keep it lit and give it light.Give it lift and make it bright.Know that what you do is who you areForever and always, you’ll be a star.”
This section includes 11 chapters, and every single one of them was incredibly powerful. It’s all about discovering your inner passion, your purpose, and the fire that drives you forward.
Part 2: Champion 🏆
This part has 9 chapters, focusing on discipline, resilience, and the mindset required not just to win—but to grow through the journey.
Part 3: Dancing Through Life 💃
This section, again with 9 chapters, felt both challenging and empowering. The way she shares her journey💜with such positivity and faith in God—is truly inspiring.
She beautifully quotes:
This part teaches us how to live fully, freely, and faithfully—no matter what life brings.
Part 4: Coming Back 🌱
This section touched me the most.
It speaks about her return to gymnastics💥her comeback. And honestly, I felt deeply connected here, because I too was in a phase of coming back in my own life. That made this part even more meaningful and personal.
The final chapters are filled with powerful, unforgettable lines:
- Chapter 30: Everything Changes“You must do the things you think you cannot do.” — Eleanor Roosevelt
- Chapter 31: The Surprise Announcement“You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the further you get.” — Michael Phelps
- Chapter 32: A New Identity“There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there—you must go beyond them.” — Bruce Lee
- Chapter 33: Just Believe“Honor God with your body.” — 1 Corinthians 6:20
- Chapter 34: No Regrets“Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.” — James Dean
These final chapters gave me so many goosebumps moments. Truly.
From the bottom of my heart, I really, really wish each one of you would read this book. It’s not just inspiring😌😍it’s transforming.
