A journey into spiritual depth, emotional clarity & compassionate living
What I loved the most is how the book is divided into three powerful sections💕Growing in the Spirit, 💕Emotional Well-Being and 💕The Kingdom of God. Each addressing the everyday struggles we face as humans and offering spiritual insights rooted in the HOLY BIBLE✨.
✨ 1. Growing in the Spirit
This section reminds us of a truth many of us often forget at our difficult times.
We are precious in God’s sight, fearfully and wonderfully made.
( Psalm 139:14)
The author speaks deeply about inferiority, self-doubt and insecurities😔those silent battles many of us struggle with. He tells us:
If God created us in His image, He did not create a failure.
We are unique, irreplaceable and intentionally designed.😍
Another beautiful reflection is “God Loves a Cheerful Atheist,” where thoughts of great minds like Stephen Hawking, C. S. Lewis, Pascal and Isaac Newton are discussed alongside biblical perspectives on creation. It teaches us that God works through every heart & every mind. And I, personally love people who questions and has a urge to know the truth!!😌😎
Then comes a topic that we often overlook😐
The Healing Power of Compassionate Words
In a world dominated by social media, our words can uplift or destroy. The Bible says:
💟“Reckless words pierce like a sword…”
💟“The tongue has the power of life and death.”
The author shows how Jesus used His words as instruments of healing, reminding us that our kind, encouraging words can be acts of grace.
Two more lovely reflections follow:
We Are All God’s Poems💞
We are meant to spread the fragrance of God’s love through our lives.
Faith Over Fear💞
Through real-life incidents and COVID-19 experiences, this chapter reminds us that faith doesn’t remove fear, but teaches us how to stand strong despite it.
✨ 2. Emotional Well-Being
This section is filled with wisdom on relationships, inner healing, friendship, marriage, boundaries, and dealing with envy.
One of the most beautiful parts is the Spirituality of Friendship—for both married couples and celibates. Using Jonathan and David from the Old Testament, the author explains how God-centered relationships bring:
🍃Self-esteem
🍃Joy
🍃Security
🍃Consolation
🍃Healing
The journey of relationships is described in three stages:Mad of each other → Made for each other → Mad because of each otherBut when rooted in God, relationships become channels of His grace.
Wise and Wounded Healers
This chapter truly moved me.
The author speaks about spiritual guidance, counseling and the courage to open our hearts.😊 The belief that “I must handle everything alone” becomes a barrier to healing.
Jesus is portrayed as the Wounded Healer:
“By His wounds, we are healed.”
(Isaiah 53:5)
He heals emotionally, spiritually, and physically💥a reminder that vulnerability can become a source of compassion.
A Life Without Envy Is Possible
Envy quietly steals joy😕but when the heart rests in God, it becomes free from comparisons and insecurities.
✨ 3. The Kingdom of God
This section connects faith with society💫how we live, serve and stand for justice.
Your Angel May Not Look Like an Angel
Based on Hebrews 13:2, this chapter teaches hospitality, especially towards migrants and strangers. It highlights human dignity as a basic need, and critiques how societies treat refugees today.
Why Ambedkar Chose Buddhism Over Christianity
This powerful reflection touches on caste discrimination in the Indian Church.
Dr. Ambedkar’s longing for equality and dignity is explored with deep compassion.
Solidarity Is Better Than Service
Here the author highlights the life of St. Damien of Molokai, a saint who lived among the suffering, not above them.
Inspired by Jesus’ compassion:
“Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand…”
(Mark 1:41)
No Partiality – Dignity of Women in the Church
Using verses from Galatians and Romans, the author emphasizes that in God’s Kingdom, there is no gender, caste, or class superiority.
Legacy of Christian Parents and Leaders
Faith must be passed on.
Parents and leaders are invited to guide youth, nurture their spirituality, and become living witnesses of Christ’s love.💕
🌿 Final Thoughts
Wise and Strong is more than a book🔥it is a gentle guide for the mind, heart, and soul. It teaches us that wisdom isn’t complicated. It’s found in compassion, acceptance, truth, patience and courage.
